2025 SoC Research Day: Four Graduate Students Honored with Prestigious New Award

Starting this year, the School of Computing has instituted new awards to recognize students with publications in top venues. The first cohort of advisees was announced during the annual research day on 18th April. 

The awardees were:   
 

Aiman Munir for their publication Anchor-Oriented Localized Voronoi Partitioning for GPS-denied Multi-Robot Coverage at IROS ’24.
  

Nicolas Nino for their publication Unveiling IoT Security in Reality: A Firmware-Centric Journey, which was presented in  USENIX Security ’24,  
 

Yucheng Shi for their publication Black-box Backdoor Defense via Zero-shot Image Purification  at NeurolPS ’23, and
 

Aditya Shinde for their publication in  Modeling Cognitive Biases in Decision-Theoretic Planning for Active Cyber Deception at AAMAS ’24,
 

Aiman, Nicolas, Yucheng, and Aditya are advised by Professors Ramaviyas Parasuraman, Le Guan, Ninghao Liu, and Prashant Doshi.
