Welcome Dr. Gagan Agrawal ...

File photo of Dr. Gagan AgrawalThe School of Computing is pleased to welcome Dr. Gagan Agrawal as its inaugural Director! Prior to joining us, Dr. Agrawal was the professor and associate dean for research and graduate studies in the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences at Augusta University. Between 2001 and 2019, he served as an associate professor, professor, graduate director, and interim department chair of Computer Science at Ohio State University. He has led highly impactful research in High Performance Computing, Cloud/Grid systems, Scientific Data Management, Data Mining, Social Media Analytics, and most recently, Cybersecurity.

Professor Prashant Doshi is leading a three-way research collaboration on a new $1.2M NSF grant with colleagues at the Universities of Nebraska-Lincoln and Oberlin College in Ohio.
Dr. Tianming Liu, a distinguished research professor from the School of Computing, was recently interviewed alongside Dr. John Gibbs, an associate professor from the Department of Theatre and Film Studies.

Graduate Program

The School of Computing offers the Master of Science (MS) ( thesis and non-thesis)  and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in computer science, and an interdisciplinary Masters in Applied Mathematical Sciences (MAMS) degree. 

At the graduate-level, the department also offers a Cyberscurity Certificate program.
