2025 Summer Update from the Director of the School of Computing

I am excited to bring this update on our progress at UGA’s School of Computing. While the last several months have been challenging for academia and especially academic research programs, with strong support from the State of Georgia, University of Georgia, the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Engineering, we continue to make strong progress. 

 

The Institute of Artificial Intelligence Appoints New Executive Director

The Institute for Artificial Intelligence at the University of Georgia has successfully concluded its search for its inaugural Executive Director. Following a comprehensive and competitive selection process, the Institute is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Prashant Doshi, a distinguished professor and leading researcher from the School of Computing. With over two decades of expertise in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Doshi emerged as the ideal candidate to lead the Institute into its next chapter.
